The right retro feel!
The graphics are as simple as it can get, but! it's a retro game so that's ok =)
The music is just perfect for the game. you missed out on the bouncing sounds, adds alot i think.
You seem to have a bit of problem with the collision detection, guessing you are using hitTest? I would recommend trying to learn collision by math instead. it gives you more controll, like being able to have faster ball speeds without it going through the thingys.

Good start on a shooting game
You have to work on the ingame graphics, they aren't that good. the game is to easy, just aim and click. The crosshair could shake a little to make it harder.
I would prefer to shoot with the mouse and reload with space.
Found a bug. if you hold down space, the gun shoots faster and faster after every reload.
Good game, but a few bugs.
Graphics:
The graphics have a very dark and moody feel to it, really works with the vampire theme.
Sound:
I would have liked to hear a creepy sound track to go with the graphics. The gun sounds is ok.
Controlls:
Simple and easy as it should be, perfect.
Really great with so many weapons, but the weapon selection menu is confusing.
gameplay:
A little easy. maybe the health packs could disappear after a few seconds. Gets repetive.
The bugs:
When you walk right, the Collsion boundary (I think) becomes visible. It seems like you only check collisions on top and bottom off the char, maybe if you added collision for the sides, you would eliminate the bug that traps you inside the platforms.
The timer dosn't restart when starting a new game, it counts from the last game.
I like stuff, that's why I make stuff, so I can buy stuff.
